Color and Light in the Universe
With gorgeous images and a spectroscope, we explore the nature of light, the quirks of human color vision, and many intriguing facts (I.e., the Sun is actually not yellow, but as white as snow, the sky’s true color is violet, but our eyes are too insensitive to that hue, and thus we perceive the sky’s second most prevalent color, etc).
Bob Berman, astronomer, will be the presenter. He is the author of eight books, and is the astronomer for SLOOH, the community observatory. His newest book is “Zoom, How Everything Moves“. Plus every Sunday Morning at 9:34 AM: Berman’s Strange Universe is on WAMC.org.
Saturday, September 21st from 7:00pm-8:30pm
Preregistration Required. Free Event.
