Getting wild with Ravensbeard @ Dug Hill Park – July 16, Wednesday, 1:00pm-2:00pm – Join us at Dug Hill Park in West Hurley, and meet the rescued raptors! Sewing Class for Children @ West Hurley Public Library – August 16th, Saturday, at 1:00pm-3:00pm – Learn to sew by making animal pillows with Angela. All materials, including sewing machines, supplied. Ages 6 and up. Parents welcome to help volunteer. Pre-Registration Required. Sign up here

Library System Road Trip

West Hurley Public Library

Did you know the Mid-Hudson Library System (MHLS) is home to 66 unique libraries? That’s 70 main & branch library locations for you Logo for Library System Road Tripand your family to explore throughout Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Putnam, and Ulster counties.

Between June 6th and October 18th, we invite you to visit as many MHLS Member Library locations as you can – learn about the different programs and services each library offers to its community and earn souvenirs along the way!

Stop by the West Hurley Public Library to pickup your Road Trip Map. Get your map stamped at each public library in the system that you visit.  Earn souvenirs* by achieving visit milestones:

  • Visit your first 10 locations to earn a sticker
  • Visit all the member libraries in a single county to earn a special edition magnet
  • Visit 35 locations to earn a special edition tote bag
  • Visit all 70 locations to earn a special edition Library Card

*Souvenirs are available while supplies last, so be sure to start your adventure early!

Mixed Level Yoga

West Hurley Public Library

Yoga classes will be at the West Hurley Firehouse.
(24 Wall Street, West Hurley)
Kathy Carey is the instructor.Yoga hands

The practice includes Asana (yoga postures), Pranayama (yoga breathing), and is also infused with some elements of Tai Chi and QiGong. We work with the connection between the mind, breath and body, giving the class a meditative flow.
Class concludes with Shavasana (relaxation) and meditation
