The West Hurley Public Library Board proposes an operating budget of $223,687 for the 2019 financial year. The largest single budget line increase is for the staff salary line in part because the minimum wage is rising to $12.50 per hour by 2020. Proposed Budget
Funding the proposed budget requires a budget increase of 1.91%. An owner of a $200,000 home would expect a tax increase of about $1.49. Copies of the budget are available in the library or online at http://westhurleylibrary.org/.
There are two positions available on the board. The candidates running for election to the board are Maria Granda and Joseph Letendre. These are three-year terms.
