The West Hurley Public Library Board proposes an operating budget of $258,344 for the 2025 financial year.
The proposed budget includes an increase of $7,090. The largest budget line increases are for a cost-of-living increase for staff salaries, library system expenses, utilities, and building insurance.
Funding the proposed budget requires a budget increase of 2.82%. An owner of a $200,000 home would expect a tax increase of about $2.26 or 2.95%. Copies of the budget are available in the library or online at 2025 Proposed Budget.
There are three positions available on the board. The candidates running for election to the board are Maria Granda, Josh Letendre, and Elizabeth Unterman. These are three-year terms.
