Voting will be on September 15, 2026 from 4-8pm in the library.  Absentee ballot applications are available August 17th.  All absentee ballots must be in by 4pm on September 14th.

The proposed budget includes an increase of $14,042. The largest budget line increases are for utilities, eBooks, computer expenses, and a cost-of-living increase for staff salaries.  To meet the increasing demand for eBooks and eAudiobooks, the library will be putting extra into this line item. This expense will include both Overdrive (Libby) and Hoopla. These services complement each other as Hoopla items can be borrowed immediately but there is a limit on borrowing. Overdrive items frequently require a waiting limit because they are shared with the entire system.  Overdrive holds have increased 23% just since the beginning of the year as this resource continues to grow.

Funding the proposed budget requires a budget increase of 5.24%.  An owner of a $200,000 home would expect a tax increase of about $3.85 or 5%.  Copies of the budget are available in the library or online at 2027 Proposed Budget.

There are two positions available on the board. The candidates running for election to the board are Patricia Heinitz and Ross Lonstein.  These are three-year terms.
