Story Hour to Go allows families to participate in whatever way is convenient for them.
Each bag is packed with several themes. Each theme includes a list of books (which can be requested through the library system), a precut craft, flannel board or other activities, and our signature prepackaged snack! “Flannel boards” are printed on card stock for you to keep.
Each Saturday at 10am, Miss Christine hosts a zoom meeting where she reads the stories, does the flannel board or activities with the kids and guides them through the craft.
If you are interested in joining the meeting or would like a bag set aside for you, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join us for an exhilarating LIVE virtual concert by the string duo ARKAI as they present a genre-defying evening of original compositions and arrangements that draw on musical influences from around the world. Sign up and we will send you the link to the YouTube concert.
ARKAI channels the diversity of the world through genre-bending music, forging new possibilities for what a violin and cello can be. Graduates of The Juilliard School, their past engagements have included performances at The MET Breuer, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and the 92nd Street Y. Their electronic debut composition, “Letters from COVID”, was recently featured at TED@PMI for a global audience of over 30,000 people from 182 countries. ARKAI also creates programs in pursuit of a world in which the arts are inseparable from community. Their newest initiative, SupportNYC, amplifies the diverse stories of small business and organizations adversely impacted by COVID-19 through fundraising performances, spreading hope and healing to communities through the power of the arts.
