The West Hurley Public Library Board proposes an operating budget of $229,804 for the 2020 financial year. The largest single budget line increase is for the staff salary line in part because the minimum wage is rising to $12.50 per hour by 2020.Funding the proposed budget requires a budget increase of 2.73%. An owner of a $200,000 home would expect a tax increase of about $2.25. Copies of the budget are available in the library or online at Proposed Budget.
There are two positions available on the board. The candidates running for election to the board are Margaret Smith and Patricia Heinitz. These are three-year terms.
