The West Hurley Public Library Board proposes an operating budget of $235,913 for the 2022 financial year. The largest single budget line increase is for the staff salary line in part because the minimum wage is rising. Funding the proposed budget requires a tax increase of 2.98%. An owner of a $200,000 home would expect a tax increase of about $2.29. Copies of the budget are available in the library or online at Proposed Budget.
There are three positions available on the board. The candidates running for election to the board are Maria Granda, Joseph Letendre, and Elizabeth Unterman. These are three-year terms.
